We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is capable of working as part of our friendly team. To provide a full complement of secretarial and administrative services to the Pharmacy Department, Medicines Management Diagnostic and Corporate Services Team within Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.To assist in the provision of specialist and general administration support to all pharmacy services in order to improve the quality of patient care and to assist with the promotion of evidence-based, cost effective prescribing across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
To assist in providing a full comprehensive administration and secretarial support to help facilitate the workflow, supply and dispensing of medicines for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This will include (not exhaustive): word processing, excel spreadsheets, audio typing and typing of correspondence.
To undertake departmental communication as instructed by the Pharmacy Administration Manager.
To act as a point of contact in the Pharmacy Office for inquiries both internally and externally.
To be responsible for the collection and updating of directorate databases and spreadsheets.
To ensure compliance with Trust procedures and policies within the Pharmacy Department including sickness returns.
Educated to GCSE Standard with extensive comprehensive administration support to facilitate effective departmental services and optimise patient care.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To provide the Pharmacy Administration Manager with comprehensive high quality administration support in order to facilitate safe, effective departmental services and optimize clinical patient care.
To maintain, update and implement existing guidelines as identified by the Pharmacy Administration Manager or Business Manager in order to optimize patient care.
To provide the Pharmacy Directorate with secretarial/administrative services, including electronic diary keeping, ordering stationary, typing, filing, photocopying, opening and distributing mail.
To assist with the production of invoices via the Oracle system relating to monthly supplies to local hospitals, community clinics, local pharmacies/chemists and private companies.
To be responsible for the issuing of clinical prescription pads for both the Hospital and individuals.
To maintain directorate databases on weekend working, annual leave and study leave for the Director of Pharmacy.
To assist with the co-ordination of Directorate monitoring of mandatory training.
