Job Title: General OperativeHours of Work: Monday – Thursday, 08:00 – 17:15 & Friday 08:00 – 16:00
Salary: £12.26 per hour
About the Role
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable General Operative to join our fast-paced Manufacturing team at our Ellesmere Portsite.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for manufacturing and repairing pallets and wood products using a variety of tools
and equipment. You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality work that meets customer specifications, while workingefficiently to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities- Manufacture and repair pallets/wood products to meet production and quality standards
- Set up workbenches or machines efficiently, ensuring materials and information are in place
- Follow work orders and design specifications accurately
- Identify and report equipment issues promptly to supervisors
- Carry out additional duties including painting, stenciling, and labelling of pallets
- Load and offload timber from machinery
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organisation in work areas
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
- Support colleagues and supervisors by contributing to team goals
- A proactive and hardworking attitude
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Health & Safety awareness
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or manual labour role is advantageous
