Digital Peninsula Network (DPN) has won substantial contracts to provide training and business support services throughout Cornwall and the Southwest. As a result, DPN is building upon and expanding its team of dynamic and skilled staff.

We are looking to recruit a Digital Skills Teaching Assistant with previous experience providing learner support, preferably in an online setting and with an enthusiasm for digital subjects. This post will focus on providing assistance to Digital Skills Tutors, monitoring learner work, administrative tasks, and overall learner support for students aged 16years +.

pplicants need to have basic literacy and numeracy skills, GCSE or equivalent in Maths or English, and experience of working with learners.

Tasks
  1.  Work alongside the tutors, providing learning support to students.
  2.  Assist with the delivery and the evaluation of programme content to meet the needs of our learners and contracts.
  3.  Feed into the continuous improvement of programme content and associated materials to help drive performance and quality of provision.
  4.  Assisting with diagnosing learners’ needs and to help to formulate programmes that will meet those needs.
  5.  Help to provide a high-quality learning experience for students.
  6.  Assist with student assessment including monitoring learner progress, completion of progress reviews and completion of assessment.
  7.  Liaise with staff and other organisations to provide information and support for students.
  8.  Accept responsibility for specific role-relevant tasks as requested to you by the Managing Director.
  9.  Maintain appropriate records.
 10.  Undertake all administrative tasks assigned by management and to participate in the planning process operating within the teaching team.

Requirements

Applicants will have most, if not all, the following skills and experience:-
 •  Be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for digital subjects.
 •  Have strong administrative skills.
 •  Be an effective communicator.
 •  Be a team player with an ability to form good working relationships.

Benefits

Hours of Work: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Part-time by agreement
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days per annum pro-rata.
