Learning Disability Registered Nurse
You will effectively manage the ward for a span of duty, e.g. ensuring adequate staffing within resources, liaison with all other Health Care Professionals. Responding to queries from patients relatives / carers and ensuring that all care is delivered to the highest standard and in accordance with the Swansea Bay Health Board and Mental Health & Learning Disability Delivery Unit Policies and Procedures You will work as part of a multi disciplinary team to deliver specialist care to meet the needs of people with a learning disability who are in need of inpatient services.
To act as a Primary Nurse or Care Coordinator for a small group of individuals and ensuring legislative frameworks are adhered to, eg; Mental Health Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and Mental Health Measure (Wales.) You will implement operational policies and clinical pathways to ensure evidence based practice and provide feedback to support the review of such policies.You will adhere to the NMC Professional Code of Conduct and maintain accurate records, participate in supervision and ensure continued professional development is maintained.
