The Role
Due to continued success, our client is seeking a Building Safety Consultant to lead on compliance with the Building Safety Act (BSA) and Building Regulations. This is a non-regulatory role, providing the freedom to positively contribute to building safety across a diverse portfolio of projects.You will work closely with design teams, clients, and developers to ensure compliance, as well as contributing to CDM advisory services.
Building Safety Consultant Salary & Benefits- Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 DOE + £4,500 car allowance.

- Lead on the Building Regulations and BSA Principal Designer role.
- Advise clients and project teams on Building Regulations and the new procedural requirements under the Building Safety Act 2022.
- Deliver BSA / Building Regulations Principal Designer functions across select projects.
- Engage with clients to outline project scope and compliance approach.
- Represent the company at Building Control partner workshops.
- Monitor deliverables and provide monthly client reports.
- Conduct technical review sessions with designers.
- Develop and implement company policies, systems, and training standards related to the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations.
- Oversee building control partners and establish clear scopes of work.
- Support quality and compliance initiatives within the business.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members.
- Assist with onboarding and recruiting new team members.
- Experience in Building Regulations, Building Control, or a related field.
- Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g. MRICS, MCABE, CIOB, or equivalent)- Flexible if qualified via experience
- Strong understanding of the Building Safety Act and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a growing team.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
- Willingness to travel when required
