Financial Controller
Sector: Renewable Energy
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 DOE + Bonus & Benefits
Qualification: ACA/ICAS/CAANZ or equivalent - minimum 4-5yrs PQE
Role Overview:
As the Group Financial Controller, you will oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance and delivering high-quality financial reporting. You will work closely with the CFO and play a key role in supporting the company's expansion and investor relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit Leadership: Lead the audit process and manage the relationship with external auditors.
- Year-End Close: Ensure timely and accurate year-end closing, overseeing the entire process.
- Statutory Reporting: Ensure all statutory reporting is completed in compliance with UK GAAP and other relevant regulations.
- Team Management: Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring effective delegation and oversight.
- Consolidations & Financial Statements: Prepare and review consolidated financial statements across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with accounting standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide financial insights and updates to senior management and private equity investors and ad-hoc M&A activity/due diligence
- FP&A: Helping set up an FP&A function
Qualifications and Experience:
- ACA/ICAS/CAANZ or equivalent qualification is essential. Minimum 4-5yrs PQE.
- Strong experience with group consolidations in a multi-entity environment.
- Proven expertise in leading audits and statutory reporting.
- Experience in a private equity-backed or fast-paced, growing business is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a senior role and provide strategic financial insight.
