We are looking for a staff nurse to work in critical care who has the drive to deliver gold standard care to critically ill patients as part of a team but who also has the ability to work independently and act as a role model for others whilst acting as an advocate for holistic patient care.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and be driven to share learned knowledge with others whilst committing continuous to self development.
We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate.
High quality patient care is at the heart of everything we do and we strive to ensure every single patient and service user has an exceptional experience with us. We have one of the most extensive patient experience programmes of any trust in England.

- To be responsible for assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of holistic patient care to a high standard of critically ill patients.
- To contribute to the overall development of clinical practice within critical care.
- To support senior staff in the effective management of resources.
- To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.

- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care working as a member of the ward team under the direction of the Ward Manager.
- To be responsible for the organising and co-ordination of nursing services in the ward/dept in the absence of senior staff on a regular basis.
- To exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- To be responsible for all nursing care standards and to maintain high clinical standards.
- To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of acollective leadership culture within the trust.
