Production Security Manager, Europe/Africa, Studios Protective Services
They must possess strong interpersonal skills to navigate, grow, and optimize efforts in the fast-paced, dynamic environment of film production. Our Production Security Manager should understand that establishing trust is crucial to their role.

Key job responsibilities- Foster and maintain strategic partnerships with Amazon MGM Studio colleagues to deliver high-standard, professional security services across all global productions.
- Lead and oversee the production security assessment program, leveraging both external and internal partners for timely threat and risk evaluations and responses. Ensure effective communication and implementation of safety and asset protection plans.
- Support the Head of Global Production Security by managing day-to-day operations, including incident reporting, statement preparation, and policy-compliant follow-ups.
- Implement and oversee robust incident management protocols, ensuring swift and effective responses to security challenges.
- Elevate the standard of security vendors for our production partners, aligning their services with Amazon MGM Studios' premium expectations.
- Provide comprehensive status updates, meticulous tracking, and seamless coordination for all projects and incidents.
- Collaborate with the entertainment and security industries to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance production security.
- Liaise with internal teams to address investigative requirements throughout the production process, ensuring seamless integration of security measures.
- Maintain a clear line of communication with leadership, promptly escalating critical notifications and providing consistent updates on investigation results and remediation efforts.
A day in the life
Every day is different when working with Studio productions, as they film all over the world and often have to change plans based the creative vision, competing priorities, or a change in global events. Production Security is a field-based team, where you will interact with Studios and Production leadership, local security vendors, local law enforcement, and Amazon intelligence partners to forecast and mitigate risk to Studios' people, assets, and brand.
About the team
Production Security is a team of Security and Risk experts positioned strategically around the globe in line with Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios priorities. We work alongside our production partners to mitigate risk while at the same time enabling the creative vision.We proactively utilize intelligence from multiple sources to understand the risks associated with our production activities and leverage our trusted global partner network to solve problems on-the-ground for our filmmakers. - BA/BS degree, preferably in a business or security-related area, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years’ experience in security, law enforcement, or an intelligence role.
- Strong network of security contacts within the Europe and Africa region.
- Experience in a corporate security environment, a plus.
- Analyse data and evaluate for severity and nature of risk to leadership and others. Develop and implement appropriate security response to address risk.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Strong vendor management and diverse range of services background.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, strong business judgment with little or no oversight, and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Experienced interacting with cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation.
- Position requires frequent business travel domestically and internationally for up to a week or more with little or no notice. Requires valid passport.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).- Experience in film and/or TV production security experience spanning physical, production, event, training and compliance disciplines.
- Experience as a security consultant, with a demonstrated ability to design and communicate a value proposition to the customer.
- Experience leveraging intelligence to guide operational decisions.
- Analyses problems effectively and takes action to resolve.
- Analyses data and information to drive decisions.
- Experience making high-stress decisions in a fast paced, dynamic environment with the ability to work with little to no supervision.
- Understanding of customer experience, listening to customers' voice and work backwards to improve business process and operations.
- Invent and simplify security processes, combining progressive technology and data collection.
- Maintains composure under pressure.
- Able to communicate and work across a wide range of security, creative, production, executive and artist relations disciplines and personalities.
