About the role:Due to project build requirements, Activate Learning are recruiting for SIF Project Learning Technologists.As one of our Learning Technologists you would be responsible for building high-quality, interactive, and modular digital learning experiences and assets to enhance the learner experience and engagement with online learning, provided through our Canvas-based Learning Management System.Building predominantly in Articulate Storyline, with some additional LMS-based components, you'll be creating online learning to meet the requirements of our SIF Online Projects.

Working to provided planning and within provided design guidelines, you’ll be responsible for creating online learning that effectively translates the content and vision of the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) into a consistent and engaging, high quality, experience for learners.You will be part of a larger team working across this project, and as such have access to collaborative support with your project peers and the SMEs, however you will be expected to largely maintain and manage your own efficient and effective progress through your allocated Unit builds, providing regular updates to the LSIF/SIF Projects Manager.

Media Development and QA support are provided by dedicated resources in the wider team but may also come into partial scope for this role if project requirements dictate.These are full-time roles on fixed-term contracts until 31st December 2024.
This could be based at any of our Activate Learning campuses (Merrist Wood, Farnham, Guildford, Reading, Bracknell, Oxford, Banbury) and will also include opportunities to work from home.What do you need to be successful as a Group Learning Technologist at Activate Learning?The successful candidate must have 2-3 years experience working in eLearning/Creative Industries, and experience creating high quality learning experiences and multimedia assets.

With knowledge of developing eLearning for accessibility (minimum WCAG 2.0 AA) you'll understand instructional design methodologies, design theory, story boarding and using request management services.You will already be a proficient user of Articulate Storyline.Ideally you would have significant experience of working in a fast paced digital environment, collaborating across teams.While not necessary, knowledge of the Further Education sector and specific challenges of creating eLearning in an FE environment would be an advantage.
