Plater Fabricator

Mike Collins Recruitment are currently recruiting for Plater Fabricator for our busy manufacturing company in Wednesbury WS10.

• Working from detailed drawings.
• Working with Mild Steel and Stainless Steel
• Sheet Metal Fabrication will include “tack welding” but it would be advantageous to

• Operating various types of machinery such as Guillotine, Brake press, Overhead Crane
• Examine work pieces for defects
• Report all non-conforming material to the Operations Director immediately.
• Ensure all assigned work is understood prior to commencing.
• Comply with standards and procedures of the Health & Safety Manual and

• Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area on a daily basis

• Complete assigned work within given time frame and according to specifications.
• Complete required paperwork
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.

• Experience in MIG Welding
• HS Education plus relevant years experience with mild and stainless steel welding.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, welding process specifications and

• Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently.
• Good verbal communication skills

This is a physically demanding position.

Hours of work: 7.30am - 4pm Monday to Friday plus over time as and when required so must be flexible.
