Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer (6-Month Contract)

Rate: £475 per day

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
• Support the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure system performance, reliability, and security are optimised.
• Assist in migrating and upgrading systems and applications.
• Provide ongoing support for infrastructure-related issues.
• Document configurations, processes, and best practices.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in infrastructure engineering, including system administration, networking, and cloud technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
• Knowledge of vitalisation platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., CompTIA, AWS, Microsoft, Cisco).
