JOB TITLE: Construction Lawyer (In-house)

The role will include;
PQE REQUIRED: 4+
LOCATION: Newcastle (Hybrid 3 days in office)
THE ROLE: Due to business growth an opportunity has arisen for an additional Construction Lawyer to join our clients legal team .As part of a small but strong legal team you will be at the very heart of the business advising on legal issues and reducing risk.The role will include;
- Reviewing and negotiating global project appointments
- Working with a range of stakeholders across the business on construction projects.
- Supporting the implementation of legal risk management policies.
- Management of the legal team (where relevant).
- Providing assistance to other areas, data protection, IPR, property, debt.
- Assisting the other members of the legal team on wider strategic projects..
THE CANDIDATE: Ideal candidates will be:
- Qualified Solicitors with 4+ years’ PQE.
- Experience of professional appointments.
- Experience of construction contracts
- Legal experience of construction law preferably gained in a consultancy environment or with a client/contractor (nice to have).
- Great analytical skills and excellent legal knowledge.
- Ability to multitask, problem solve, and balance competing priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
