Project Product Assurance Manager
Job Purpose
The Project Product Assurance (PA) Manager is responsible for evaluating, tracking and satisfying all Product Assurance (PA) requirements on assigned space power projects. The Project Product Assurance Manager will work with a dedicated team from other disciplines (e.g., Project Management, Project Engineer, MAIT) to produce documentation and hardware for delivery to the customer.
The role will be the primary Product Assurance representative to the customer for the assigned project(s).The Project PA Manager may be supported by, and act as line manager for one or more Project Product Assurance Engineers depending on project size and complexity.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for on time and on quality Product Assurance activities
Responsible for the prevention, investigation and resolution of non-conformances on assigned projects
Supports the Sales/BD team with Product Assurance requirements of new opportunities
Responsible for the delivery of documentation to meet customer PA requirements (e.g. NCRs, EIDPs, Inspection Reports)
Responsible for the delivery of specialist Product Assurance analysis and documentation (PM&P, EEE, RAMS, Safety)
The role is responsible for chairing internal readiness review meetings (MRR, TRR)
Responsible for in-build and in-test inspection points and sign-off of associated reports or checkpoints
Responsible for the safety certification and compliance statements for the product
Responsible for initial definition of the product baseline (CIDL) for review and input from the project team
Responsible for the classification, tracking and logging of changes to the product baseline (via CCBs)
Responsible for the notification of baseline changes to the customer (for example, by tracking the status of RfD/RfW)
QualificationsA degree in a STEM subject, equivalent qualification or industry experience
Knowlege / Experience
Experience delivering PA engineering on spacecraft projects
Experience inspecting and accepting spacecraft hardware
Experience producing technical Product Assurance documentation: Materials, Process, Components and Parts Lists; Hazard Analysis; Reliability and FMECA Reports
A strong knowledge and understanding of European Space Industry standards (ECSS)
An ability to interpret European Space Industry standards (ECSS) and develop compliant solutions
Skills / CompetenciesAttention to detail and an ability to present data clearly
A commitment to accurate reporting and root cause analysis of problems
A commitment to product quality and mission risk reduction in accordance with customer specifications
An ability to work in a multi-project environment; to effectively prioritise and work to detailed scheduled plans and tight deadlines

The ability to support team members working on multiple projects
A capability to delegate and monitor progress on tasks for junior PA engineers
A pragmatic, business minded and process driven attitude
Strong skills with MS Office / Office 365 suite of programmes
