We have an opportunity for a Senior Pharmacist to join our forward thinking, dynamic and patient focused Clinical pharmacy and Homecare Team.

We welcome applications from motivated and driven Pharmacists with excellent clinical and communication skills. You must be efficient, organised, able to work as a team and autonomously and also be innovative and resourceful.

Main duties of the job
  • As Homecare pharmacist you will support the introduction of new specialised treatments at the Salford Care Organisation, which is a specialised centre for Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Rheumatology, Intestinal Failure, Endocrinology, Immunology, Metabolic diseases, and Renal medicine.
  • You will coordinate the activity of the pharmacy Homecare team and collaborate with the clinical teams to provide personalised patient care in the home environment.
  • You will promote the cost-effective use of biologics by supporting the individual patient review of compliance with NICE/GMMMG/NHSE harmonised pathways, working with a team of pharmacists and technicians across the NCA.
  • This role will give you the opportunity to work as a senior clinical pharmacist and further develop your skills and experience, optimising drug treatment for patients admitted to hospital and delivering high quality patient focused clinical pharmacy service within designated specialities.

  • Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Vocational master’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent
  • Post Grad Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy
Desirable criteria
  • Certification of Non- Medical Prescribing
  • Management Qualification

Knowledge and skills

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience in pharmacy Homecare services
  • Professional knowledge acquired through vocational master’s degree in pharmacy.
  • Good all-round clinical knowledge and practical clinical skills
