Our client, a specialist school based in Towcester, is seeking a compassionate and proactive Education Support Worker to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide individualised support to students with a range of special educational needs, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and autism spectrum conditions.
About the Role:You will work closely with teaching staff to support students in and out of the classroom, helping them to access the curriculum, regulate behaviour, and achieve personal and academic goals. Your role will involve providing one-to-one and small group support, building strong relationships with students, and promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (in education, care, or youth work settings)
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to remain flexible, resilient, and positive in a dynamic school environment
