Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with special educational needs in KS2, helping them access the curriculum, manage challenges, and build confidence.
  • Support learning and development, including helping with academic tasks, social skills, and emotional regulation.
  • Collaborate closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to plan and deliver appropriate interventions.
  • Monitor and track progress, helping to identify strategies and adjustments to support the child's individual needs.
  • Foster independence and resilience, encouraging the child to take an active role in their learning and develop their skills.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable, but not essential.
  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
  • A proactive, positive attitude, with the ability to inspire and motivate the child you work with.
  • A commitment to inclusion and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.
