We are currently looking for a Health Care Assistant (band 2) to join our team in Silvertown wardWe are an established team looking after patients who have undergone surgery and those with acute abdominal diagnosis.
Main duties of the job- As a health care assistant on the ward your responsibilities would be taking observations, assist patients with personal care and mobility.
- You will be expected to provide high standard of care plus customer service to patients admitted to the ward.
- You will be doing a mixture of nights and Long Day shifts.
- Experience in healthcare sector is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
- We are looking for someone who is caring hard-working, approachable, respectable and flexible so please try and demonstrate this at your application form.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Basic education to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Basic level in literacy, numeracy, ICT & communication
- NVQ level 2/3 in Health and Social Care
Experience
Essential criteria- Customer service experience
- Experience working as healthcare assistant in hospital setting or care/nursing home
- Experience with surgical patients
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Understanding of the role
- Understanding of the healthcare sector
Skills
Essential criteria- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Literacy and numeracy
