We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our school in the NE6 area. If you are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them thrive in the classroom, we want to hear from you.
About the Role:
- Position: Learning Support Assistant (SEN)
- Location: NE6 Area
- Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary/Permanent
- What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) across various year groups.
- Working alongside teachers to deliver tailored learning activities and help students achieve their goals.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to children who need extra help.
- Assisting with managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive, inclusive environment.
- Encouraging students’ confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
- Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to the teacher and SENCO.

What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs (knowledge of Autism, ADHD, etc. is desirable).
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
- A commitment to helping children succeed and reach their full potential.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in SEN or Teaching Assistant).
