Physiotherapy Support Worker - Medicine (Band 4) | North Bristol NHS Trust
This role is a senior support worker role providing physiotherapy interventions to acutely unwell adults within medicine both with other colleagues and autonomously. A full training and in service training program is available for the successful candidate.
This post is for 37.5hrs a day working pattern prominently Monday-Friday but does include a weekend commitment of one weekend day a month with time back in the week which is rostered.

You would be working within one of the Medicine Physiotherapy teams as part of a large multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Specialist Nurses, Dietitians and Medical staff. The work is varied, and opportunities are available to rotate into the different medical areas.You will provide physiotherapy assessments, exercise plans and support patients through their journey including discharge.
This role will include undertaking duties as part of a 7-day rostered working pattern

To be responsible for own caseload following referral from a Physiotherapist , adhering to specified therapeutic programs and protocols, monitoring patient progress and adapting treatment as necessary. Supporting discharge planning for patients including completion of discharge paperwork.Supporting other support workers to manage their caseloads, support support worker training and working with undergraduate students out on placement.
