What You’ll Be Doing As a business administration apprentice, you’ll develop the skills and knowledge you need to thrive in a large, exciting business where no two days are the same.

You’ll be supporting a large operational team to deliver excellent service to our customers and your day-to-day work will involve:
  • Handling emails and calls
  • Managing diaries
  • Organising meetings and events
  • Managing information, documents and records
  • Preparing documents, reports and presentations As well as gaining valuable real-world experience on the job, you’ll also have opportunities to learn about and support different areas of business services such as finance, people planning, project management and business performance.

  • A desire and passion to grow your career at National Highways To be eligible for the apprenticeship learning programme, you’ll also need to meet these essential requirements:
  • Minimum of five GCSEs (including English and Maths, at grade C/grade 4 or above) To be eligible for a place on the programme, you must be available to attend the 4-day induction, 8
  • 11 September 2025.

You’ll complete the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship learning programme, which will open up lots of different career paths and opportunities to grow at National Highways.
