Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for full details of responsibilities The post holder will work collaboratively with all disciplines as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assure a high standard of care for patient/clients and their relatives/carers, under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
To implement and evaluate delegated Occupational Therapy intervention programmes, including supporting patients with meal preparation. All modifications to treatment plans/interventions will involve the service user and where appropriate the carer.
To work with the Occupational Therapist and ward team. Caseload to work with service users on ward S3. To assist the multi-disciplinary team, in offering a comprehensive treatment programme, and ensure that this is updated to meet the needs of the clients.
Working under the regular supervision of a Senior Occupational Therapist, the Technical Instructor utilises their technical skills, the OT assistant uses their experience and training, and the skills of the Occupational Therapist to provide appropriate treatment to both individual clients and groups.
