Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented Senior Contracts Manager to support Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and advising on strategic technology service and licensing agreements with enterprise customers and partners and provide legal support for local and regional services and initiatives.
Typical transactions will range from standard contracts to complex, high- value agreements. The role includes participating in other Amazon legal projects, including managing legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.

A successful candidate will also play an important role in improving the operations of the AWS Legal team, advising on ways to improve efficiency, quality, and value of Legal’s work.

This Senior Contracts Manager will primarily support the AWS sales and marketing EMEA legal team. Their responsibility will be for a variety of matters, including reviewing, drafting and negotiating IT agreements, data processing agreements, nondisclosure agreements, services agreements, marketing contracts and other commercial contracts, reviewing marketing and promotional materials and providing general assistance to the AWS EMEA sales and marketing teams in responding to customer queries.

The successful candidate is inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy being continually challenged and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. This position can be located in London, United Kingdom; Madrid, Spain; or Milan, Italy.6+ years of contracts management, paralegal, or other comparable experience within a law firm or legal department.

Ability to understand and explain standard agreement terms and negotiate based on precedent.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow-through and meet deadlines
Strong written and oral communication skills
Bachelor's degree.
Familiar with IT infrastructure, outsourcing, telecommunications or cloud computing services
In-house contracts management experience is a plus
Fluency in the MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Salesforce preferred
Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations

Proficient in Italian or Spanish
