Consultant Radiologist with sub-specialist interest in MSK/Spine
- We are delighted to advertise a substantive general radiology consultant post with a subspecialty interest in Musculoskeletal/Spinal Radiology at North Bristol NHS Trust. We are a dynamic enthusiastic team that work in a large friendly department. We are a tertiary and Quaternary centre for trauma, general orthopaedics, plastics and complex spine. We encourage the development of services supporting reporting and interventional radiographers. The role predominately incorporates interpretation and supportive management of general orthopaedics . We are a multi-modality imaging centre and expect the post holder to perform hands on diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Main duties of the job
The post holder(s) will have a 10 programmed activities (PA) job plan, 8.5 Direct Clinical Care (DCC) and 1.5 Supporting Professional Activities (SPA). there is the potential to work less than full-time, upon discussion. The job plan details and exact timetable will be discussed and agreed between the successful candidate(s) and Clinical Lead to reflect the sub-specialty interest(s), including relevant multi-disciplinary meetings and face-face patient facing lists, as well as departmental general radiology activities across the North Bristol Trust sites, and joining the 1:18 general radiology on-call rota ,allocated 1.0 DCC. In addition, there is also the opportunity for home reporting, as well as an extra 2 programmed activities which may be DCC or SPA activities, the latter to support the wide variety of consultant led non-clinical activities to constructively support our department.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- FRCR or equivalent
- Must have CCT in Clinical Radiology and have been entered on the GMC Specialist Register at the time of the appointment
Experience
Essential criteria- Competent in soft tissue and bone biopsies.
- Experience of emergency radiology
- Experience of musculoskeletal US and injections.
