Senior Support Worker

We are looking for respectful, warm and enthusiastic individuals to work in our Woodside Close Complex Needs Service. As a Senior Support Worker, you will organise a flexible and high-quality Supported Living service for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.You will supervise and manage established staff teams, providing person-centred support to enable service users to maintain their independence, experience improved wellbeing and enjoy opportunities for personal development. You will have the opportunity to work with our positive behaviour support practitioner team so that we continue to deliver innovative and specialised services.
The supported living services operate 24/7 with waking nights and sleep overs.
Senior Support Worker duties include:
- Supervising, managing and mentoring a team of staff
- Developing and sustaining warm and trusting relationships with service users
- Encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities, both within and outside of their homes
- Providing personal care, administering medication and lone working
- Working full time hours (37.5) on a rota basis, covering 7 days per week, including waking nights
- You will be required to support with overseeing staff deployment and rotas and to work in a flexible manner yourself including working some evenings and weekends.
- Working closely with local multi-disciplinary teams and community based agencies to provide holistic, wrap-around support
- Facilitate service user engagement, involvement and peer support
- Ensure that there are robust methods of quality monitoring
