Plymouth - Interim Finance Manager

About the Role:Hays are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Interim Finance Manager to join a local government organisation in the Devon area. This role offers a competitive daily rate and the flexibility of hybrid working. This role is to start ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Year-End Support initially: Assist the current Finance Manager through the early stages of the year-end processes until mid-April.
• Interim Finance Manager for Children's Services: Take over the role from mid-April until the end of June, ensuring a smooth transition and handover to the new post holder.
• Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and audits specific to children's services.
• Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure financial compliance and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: Must be a qualified finance professional (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA).
• Experience: Proven experience in local government finance is essential.
• Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
