Job overview
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Acute Medical Admin Team as a permanent secretary based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to maintain a high standard of administrative support to the Acute Medical Admin Team, ensuring that robust systems are in place for the efficient end to end patient pathway. You will also ensure that digital transcriptions are completed in a timely manner in accordance with Trust expectation.

Person specification
Qualification or Experience
Essential criteria- Minimum of 3 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade C or above or suitable equivalent qualification or relevant experience
- RSA III or NVQ III or suitable equivalent level administrative qualification or relevant experience
- ECDL or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
- Business Administration Level II Apprenticeship
Personal Attributes & Skills
Essential criteria- Ability to deal calmly and diplomatically with a range of personalities and situations
- Trustworthy, punctual and reliable
- A methodical and organised approach to work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Accurate data entry, typing and checking skills
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria- Previous experience working in a clerical/administrative role
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word
- Knowledge of Referral to Treatment Patient Access Policies and procedures
- Fully conversant with all waiting list functions on PAS and the ability to action these independently.
