Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Barnsley Permanent £44,000 - £46,000/year
A prestigious manufacturing firm is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their dedicated team. This position offers a generous salary range of £44,000 to £46,000 and operates on an engaging Panama shift pattern, 12 hour days and nights, providing ample time for work-life balance.
The Role:
• Comply with all HSE policies and procedures.
• Electrical diagnostic work on PLC systems
• Implementing & supporting rapid breakdown fault finding & rectification.
• Breakdowns, fault finding & repair of complex machinery & ancillaries;
• Installation and commisioning of industrial machinery
• PLC’s / Controls SIEMENS
• Assist with the focussed improvement team.
• 3 phase electrical systems & operations.
• Initiating improvement in practices, Systems & procedures.
• Mechanical maintenance
Required Skills and Experience:
• Recognised qualifications in electrical engineering.
• Time served engineering apprenticeship
• Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with PLC systems, ideally Siemens and Omron
• Welding experience
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
