About the Role

Our informatics team plays a crucial role in transforming healthcare delivery through technology and so we are seeking a Clinical Informatics Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic team at Whipps Cross Hospital. This exciting opportunity puts you at the forefront of digital healthcare transformation, working to enhance patient care through innovative health informatics solutions.

Main duties of the job
  • Drive innovation in digital health technology and AI applications by supporting the clinical design, implementation, and sustained use of health informatics systems within the hospital.
  • Deliver training and support which leads to patient care documentation being completed to high standards and complies with regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Act as a clinical digital advocate and change agent across the hospital environment who is experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, trust informatics departments, and external partners

Essential criteria
  • Extensive post registration experience in acute clinical setting
  • Experience as shift co-ordination and team management
  • Working with and supporting clinical staff and students in placement
  • Clinical based teaching experience and setting up teaching and development programs in clinical areas
  • Mentoring and assessing learners in practice
  • Experience in undertaking change project and understanding deliverables for the project
  • Supporting the development of new initiatives
  • Experience in using digital health platforms and technology
  • Organisational skills - diary management and planning of event based learning
  • Understand the basics in interpretation of data
  • Designing of audit
  • Experience of negotiation and conflict management
  • Understanding of the principles of Clinical Governance

  • Registered Nurse or other professional qualification
