We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work with primary school children, providing 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team and help children achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children who have a range of SEN needs in both mainstream and SEN-specific primary schools. You will provide 1:1 support to ensure that students are able to engage with the curriculum and thrive in a learning environment that is tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to children with SEN, assisting with their learning and development
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to support student progress
  • Assist with behaviour management and emotional support as needed
  • Support the overall wellbeing of the children

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children (Essential)
  • Classroom experience is beneficial but not required
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage with children on a 1:1 basis
  • No formal qualifications required, though any relevant qualifications are beneficial
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude towards working in different school settings
