Qualified Teaching Assistants Needed – Mainstream Primary Schools (March & Chatteris)

Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a supportive and welcoming school environment?

Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in mainstream primary schools across March and Chatteris.

About the Role

We are seeking confident and adaptable TAs to support pupils across a range of year groups. Responsibilities may include:

  • Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
  • Assisting the class teacher with general classroom support
  • Supporting children in class and in small group settings

These roles are initially temporary, with strong potential to become long-term or permanent.

  • Offering consistent hours (typically 08:30am – 15:30pm, Monday to Friday)

Requirements

To be considered, you must:

  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification
  • Have at least 6 months’ recent experience in a school or similar setting (within the last 3 years)
  • Have experience supporting children with SEND
  • Be reliable, proactive, and flexible
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel locally

You must also be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (or be registered on the Update Service).
