Teaching Assistant - Lancaster

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA2) for Upper KS2 at a local school, focusing on Year 6 with an emphasis on higher-level Maths interventions. This role is ideal for a confident mathematician who is familiar with the KS2 Maths curriculum.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Work part-time hours from 8:50 AM to 1:15 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Provide targeted Maths interventions for Year 6 students.
• Support students in understanding and excelling in higher-level Maths concepts.
• Assist in preparing materials and activities for Maths interventions.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor and report on student progress.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in KS2 Maths.
• Experience in an educational setting, particularly in providing interventions or support.
• Ability to engage and inspire young learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach to supporting children’s learning.
