The Maths Academic Mentor Role:- As a Maths Academic Mentor, you will support students in small groups or one-on-one sessions, helping them improve their Maths skills and understanding.
- Work closely with the Maths department to develop strategies for raising attainment and engagement.
- Assist students in preparing for exams, including GCSEs and A-Levels.
- Provide additional support for students who may be struggling with Maths, helping to boost their confidence and performance.
- Collaborate with teachers to tailor learning plans and interventions for individual students.
- A Maths or Science graduate with a strong academic background and a passion for education.
- Experience working with young people, either in a school or tutoring environment, is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A proactive and patient approach to supporting students, with a focus on helping them achieve their best.
- A desire to pursue a career in teaching, with a long-term view to teacher training.
