Job Description

Assistant Finance Manager duties:

• Enter sales invoices into accounting software, including coding and setting up new customers.
• Record all purchase and supplier invoices, including coding and setting up new suppliers.
• Post all bank transactions into accounting software.
• Perform bank reconciliations using accounting software.
• Set up payments for suppliers.
• Post credit card transactions to ledgers.
• Record business expenses in accounting software.
• Maintain daily records of all financial transactions.
• Issue payment invoices and receipts to clients.
• Conduct account reconciliations.
• Assist with statutory audits as needed.
• Support other accounting tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Manage the accounts mailbox.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Assistant Finance Manager will have:

• 2+ years experience, eager to enhance accounting knowledge within a growing company.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Excellent report-writing and communication abilities.
• Proficient in financial planning software, including Microsoft Excel and Sage.
• Able to work independently.
