The Position

We are looking for a qualified CCTV Operator to join our team for all our major matchday fixtures such as The Hundreds, T20’s and International Cricket games.

This role is a crucial to our operations team as you will be monitoring and assisting in the safeguarding of our spectators from ingress to egress at our venue using our state-of-the-art surveillance system. Having an eye for detail is crucial, spotting any potential security threats and responding swiftly to any major incidents.

You must be observant with a high level of concentration and be able to divide your attention to monitor multiple events occurring at a single setting. You must be available for all major match days between April - September.

What you’ll do
  • Carrying out pre and post event safety checks ensuring the compliance with safe working procedures.
  • Monitoring spectator movements and behaviours to identify potential issues or incidents and observing all actions necessary to be taken.
  • Monitoring people in different locations to identify instances of suspicious or unusual behaviour.
  • Tracking suspect individuals as they move within the venue or the venue perimeter.
  • Liaising with control room management to provide detailed intelligence about suspects, such as their appearance, actions, or location.
  • Ensuring the CCTV system is fully functioning, and that video footage is recorded and stored appropriately.
  • Assisting police in their enquiries by providing access to CCTV recordings, or copies of footage, whenever required.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities:

  • You must hold a CCTV Licence to be considered for this role.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • The ability to remain calm at all times.
  • Discretion by discussing their observations only with the relevant colleagues in the control room.
  • Observation proficiency.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to think quickly and logically in identifying and responding to an emergency.
  • Effective communication skills when liaising and collaborating with others.
  • Patience and perseverance.
  • Available for all major fixtures (Flexibility).
