Qualified Nursery Assistant Role
OF DUTIES
- Follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Service) Framework
- Assist with the implementation of activities
- Be available to travel to nurseries in your area to help staff
- Use initiative and be consistent
- Communicate with parents / carers about the day to day needs of the
parenting skills.
- Assist children in acquiring self-help skills including dressing, feeding, toilet
training and an awareness of personal hygiene.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR- Experience of working with the EYFS and the ability to hit the ground
- A can-do and enthusiastic attitude
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Have experience working with children 6months to 5 years old
- Be qualified in level 2 or above in childcare
- Have 2 references that cover at least 2 years (Student Employment
- Hold a DBS – or be willing to apply for one (we can do at office –
2nd December 2024
Salary: Up to £16 per hour
We are recruiting for candidates that want to work when available in day nurseries within their area. We work with many settings daily that request different shifts from us.
About role
This is a role that involves no planning or observations, only to work alongside the permanent staff members to help with the daily activities
Currently we have several day nurseries in North Hampshire and Berkshire requesting shifts that are 8am to 6pm to work as a qualified nursery assistant.
Areas include Reading (RG7) and Basingstoke (RG22)
Person specification- Hold a level 2 or 3 or above in childcare (NVQ, CACHE, NNEB, Degree, QTS or equivalent)
- Have a clean DBS preferably on the update service – if not you can apply for a new DBS through our agency
- Have references that covers 3 years (Employment, Student, or placement)
- You have a responsibility to safeguard the children when in your care
