Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the office; 2 days working from home

About the Role
As a Contract Manager you’ll be leading a team of Case Managers and Administrators progressing repairs projects in customers’ homes across A2Dominion’s property portfolio including disrepair and damp and mould cases and applications for Aids & Adaptations.You and your team will play a key role in ensuring our housing assets remain safe, compliant, and well-maintained through good surveying practices and project management.
In this role, you’ll be working alongside our Senior Surveyor who is responsible for the team of Surveyors who carry out inspections of our properties and you will be responsible for ensuring cases progress and our customers are kept fully informed of what’s happening with their homes.
Some Key Responsibilities
Overseeing a team delivering effective and proactive management of specialist property projects from initial creation to completion, tracking project milestones, maintaining records, and ensuring contractual obligations and customer expectations are met by all parties
Manage and monitor performance of contractors delivering property projects, measuring against KPIs and using data to evaluate contractor performanceIdentifying and analysing potential risks and issues associated with projects and proposing strategies to mitigate them, adopting a culture of continuous improvement for repair quality and efficiency, implementing change and new ways of working to ensure alignment with objectives
Develop and manage a team that works effectively with Surveyors to ensure cases are progressed in a timely manner, accurately recorded, financial controls are in place and quality is maintainedActively working with internal and external stakeholders around complex cases, engaging with our Complaints and Customer liaison team to provide high level updates to the business on progress of works, taking the lead to resolve escalations and deal with complaints
Ensure any Housing Health & Safety cases are dealt with in line with Awaab’s Law ensuring timescales are adhered to
Manage and oversee financial expenditure in relation to contractors, ensuring correct approval process followed and prompt processing of payments once agreedDeal with applications for Aids & Adaptations in line with A2Dominion’s published Aids & Adaptations policy including liaison with Local Authorities regarding grant & instructing small works from A2Dominion’s budget
More about you
GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grades A* - C)Have, or are willing to work towards, Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) qualification
3 years’ experience of working in housing or property management
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and high-quality outcomes
Experience working with diverse stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships, and aligning interests to achieve common goalsStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and provide exceptional customer service
Demonstrated ability to analyse data, identify key issues, and develop practical solutions to overcome challenges
