Salary: Lecturer UH7 £37,099 to £44,263 021 pa depending on skills and experience/Senior Lecturer UH8 £44,263 to £56,021 pa depending on skills and experience
Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year.
Location: University of Hertfordshire, College Lane Campus (some teaching at Meridian House and DeHavilland sites), Hatfield

Main duties & responsibilities
The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Learning Disability Nursing will provide high quality academic input in relation to the planning, teaching, assessing and evaluation of programmes of study at undergraduate and postgraduate levels (BSc & MSc-including apprenticeship, and the Nursing Associate Degree Apprenticeship), and contributing to our continuing professional development portfolio.
At Senior Lecturer level you would be expected to take on Module Leadership.
Skills and experience needed
You will be required to teach and support nursing students and have knowledge of current NMC requirements and standards of proficiency. You will be able to demonstrate evidence of teamworking and working autonomously as well as having excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience of successful partnership working with practice partners and students would be desirable at Senior Lecturer level.
Qualifications required
For the Lecturer position, you will be a registered nurse (Registered with the NMC) with experience of working with people with a learning disability and hold a minimum of a honours degree in a relevant subject. In addition, for the Senior Lecturer position, you will hold a minimum of a master’s degree or a Level 7 qualification such as a Postgraduate diploma.Doctoral study would be desirable. A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards this is essential for both positions.
