Job Description
We are seeking a experienced Chef/Cook Supervisor to join our culinary team in Hereford, United Kingdom. As a Chef/Cook Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and leading a small team.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health and safety standards
- Collaborate with management to improve kitchen processes and customer satisfaction
- Adhere to budgetary guidelines.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise in the kitchen promptly and professionally
- Participate in menu tastings and quality control checks
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Previous supervisory experience in a culinary role would be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of British and international cuisines
- Proficiency in kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Valid Food Safety and Hygiene certification would be advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
