Salary: £12.42 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking a experienced Chef/Cook Supervisor to join our culinary team in Hereford, United Kingdom. As a Chef/Cook Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and leading a small team.

  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health and safety standards
  • Collaborate with management to improve kitchen processes and customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to budgetary guidelines.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise in the kitchen promptly and professionally
  • Participate in menu tastings and quality control checks
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting
  • Previous supervisory experience in a culinary role would be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of British and international cuisines
  • Proficiency in kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Valid Food Safety and Hygiene certification would be advantageous
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
