An exciting opportunity for an Associate Director of Finance – Financial Management (8D) has come up. This role is a key member of the senior finance team, directly supporting the Deputy CFO and providing effective and professional leadership on the financial operations.
This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient and robust procedures are followed and that good financial controls are in place whilst also providing strategic financial management support to the Deputy CFO. The role requires someone who is technically competent but also able to provide leadership to a team, encouraging a collaborative and learning environment where they can influence positive change in a professional and forward-thinking finance team.
The successful applicant will be a fully qualified member of a CCAB body with up-to-date knowledge of the NHS Finance regime with a track record of managing and leading teams to deliver excellence with an approach of continuous improvement.
Main duties of the job
This role is to provide expert financial support and advice in all aspects of Financial Management to the Trusts senior management team, providing high quality financial information to the Trust.
Your role will involve developing the finance function to create a culture of initiative and innovation in how to do things well whilst ensuring a good grip and control on the finances of the Trust.
With a proactive and solutions focused outlook, you will be required to analyse highly complex problems and present high-level solutions, being able to articulate financial implications and risks in line with the broader finance team and Trusts deliverables.
To act as the lead for both Trust’s financial management function providing effective and professional leadership of the team and supporting the senior finance team in the formulation of Trust and departmental strategies

Essential criteria- Holds a recognised Professional Accountancy Qualification
- Degree or equivalent
