Are you interested in nursing within the inpatient emergency surgery ward for Urology, Gynaecology and Maxillo Facial? If yes, then this could be the job for you.

We are currently looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to join our enthusiastic team specialising in the care of patients admitted to the ward for emergency Urology, Gynaecology and Maxillo Facial surgery. T14 South ASU in a 15 bedded ward and patients are mainly from A & E, clinic or referral from other hospital.

The post holder will assist the Ward Sister in leading the team in ensuring a high standard of care is delivered consistently. You will be keen to develop and enhance your current clinical skills whilst working as part of the team. Successful candidates will be responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of patients', staff and the ward.

You will have relevant clinical experience at band 5 level and show a keen interest in general inpatient surgical nursing.

You will need to show a strong commitment to support the leadership of a team of nurses and nursing assistants, demonstrate personal and professional development, as well as a desire to teach and mentor junior staff and students. You will be able to take charge of the unit, be enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills with a desire to provide excellent patient care.
