Teaching Assistant – Multiple Positions Available
Start Dates: As soon as possible (subject to statutory checks), with additional roles also starting in September 2025Contract: Permanent and 12-month temporary, with the potential of an extension to contract
Hours: 28.75 hours per week, term time only plus two INSET days
Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM
Salary: Grade 3, £24,790 – £25,183 (pro-rata)
We are seeking a number of enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join our team. Multiple roles are available, with some requiring immediate start (subject to statutory checks) and others commencing in September 2025.
The Governors are seeking to appoint caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Teaching Assistants who are committed to supporting the school on its journey towards excellence. Successful candidates will play a key role in helping us achieve our vision of ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
The successful applicants will be committed to ensuring the highest standards in children's education by working as part of an excellent team to ensure that the wellbeing, behaviour and personal development of pupils enhances their learning opportunities and life skills.
The applicants must be willing to work alongside children with a range of Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) to plan for and deliver tailored and personalised interventions that allow all children to access a high-quality mainstream education, as well as supporting all children to develop socially during outdoor play.
We are looking for someone who:
- Can form positive and caring relationships with all children.
- Is committed to ensuring the highest standards in children’s education by working as part of a supportive and hardworking team to ensure that the wellbeing, behaviour and personal development of pupils enhances their learning opportunities and life skills.
- Shows initiative and the ability to be spontaneous.
- Has experience of working with children in all key stages.
- Enjoys planning and leading play-based learning opportunities.
- Has a passion for the outside classroom.
- Motivates our children to be increasingly independent and confident as they learn and grow.
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge of early phonics, reading, writing and numeracy.
- Has a good sense of humour, combined with energy and enthusiasm.
The successful candidates will have the children at the heart of everything they do and a passion for continued professional development.
Essential Qualifications:
Applicants must possess either GCSEs in Maths and English (grades A–C) or equivalent qualifications, or an NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject area.
