Management Accountant
Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of Management Accountant for a rapidly growing manufacturing business with a finance function based in the Greater Manchester. This unique and varied role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work in a thriving global business whilst also having the chance to progress and develop their career.
The Role
Reporting into the FD, the Management Accountant will have a wide remit of responsibilities ranging from your typical monthly management accounts through to continues improvement projects.
Further duties and responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and performance reports for the growing number of subsidiary companies.
- Ownership of Bills of Materials and Routings to ensure accurate product costings and margin reporting.
- Supply chain reporting and supplier analysis including tracking cost savings.
- Stock analysis and monitoring of obsolete, negative, and slow-moving stock.
- Assisting the Finance team to develop and maintain KPI data.
- Project costing for subsidiary companies.
- Project monitoring of New Product Development.
- Assisting tax advisors with R&D claims.
- Assisting with the production of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Contributing to process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function.
The Candidate
To be considered for this Management Accountant position we welcome applications from candidates with the following:
Experience & Qualifications:
- Ideally previous experience within the manufacturing industry
- Part Qualified CIMA (and working towards).
- Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills.
- Experience of ERP systems, preferably MS Business Central
- Ability to extract and manipulate data into meaningful management information.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Willing to undertake international travel.

Indicative renumeration:
- £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (DOE)
