We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History Teacher to join a rapidly improving secondary school in High Wycombe. Role Overview
The successful candidate will deliver History lessons to students at Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5, depending on experience. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the ongoing development of the History department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 teaching)
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students
- Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies
- Contribute to curriculum development and the sharing of best practices within the department
- Foster a positive classroom environment that supports both student learning and well-being
- Actively participate in the school’s continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in History or a related subject. You should have experience teaching at KS3 and KS4, with experience or willingness to teach KS5 seen as advantageous. The ideal candidate will be passionate about history and committed to raising student achievement in an improving school environment.
