Location: Margate, Kent
Shifts: Monday - Wednesday 15:00 - 01.00 & Thursday 14:30 - 00.00
Salary: £11.44Job Type: Temp to Perm
We are delighted to be working with our client who are a well-established & successful bakery company known for their exceptional baked goods. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hygiene Operative to join the production team. As a Hygiene Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the production facility.
Your primary duties will include cleaning production machinery, ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment, and adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitise production machinery and equipment according to established protocols and schedules.Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
Follow proper cleaning procedures for different types of machinery and equipment.
Dispose of waste materials and hazardous substances in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Assist in implementing and maintaining hygiene protocols and procedures.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or food production environment.Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices in a production setting.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately.
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Punctual and reliable, with a strong work ethic.
Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks in a physically demanding role.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
