Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions to secondary school students
  • Develop tailored lesson plans based on students' individual needs and learning styles
  • Provide academic support in subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science, and Humanities
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and teachers to ensure a collaborative approach to student learning

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with secondary school students
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary school curriculum

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a secondary school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Passion for education and helping students reach their full potential

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience using technology in the classroom

Working Conditions:

Flexible working hours based on student needs, may require evening or weekend sessions. Work will be conducted in a classroom or online setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
