To help support the data collection processes for Children and Young Peoples IAPT (CYP-IAPT) within a multi-disciplinary CAMHS service. To assist in clinically related administration, completion of audits, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.There will also be opportunities to undertake clinical work under supervisionof a qualified Clinical Psychologist and support the psychological care of clients within the service, across all sectors of care and within the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
  • To undertake protocol based psychological assessment of young people applying psychological theory, including neuro-psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care.
  • To assist in the formulation of young people’s needs, under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist.
  • To assist in the co-ordination and running of therapeutic groups or clinical projects.
  • To work with other staff to contribute to multi-disciplinary discussions or care guidelines as agreed with the clinical psychologist providing supervision.
  • To undertake data collection, data inputting, analysis and the productionof reports and summaries, using IT and statistical programmes
  • To create graphs, presentations or charts to collage or summarise data on individual interventions or treatment programmes.
  • To assist in producing visual material or user friendly information for access to services within Bromley.

Clinical:
This post will require the applicant to:
  • To undertake protocol based psychological assessment of client applying psychological theory, including neuro-psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care.
  • To assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a client’s problems, under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist.
  • To assist in the co-ordination and running of therapeutic groups or clinical projects.
  • To work with other staff to assess or support service and contribute to multi-disciplinary discussions or care guidelines as agreed with the clinical psychologist providing supervision.
  • To assist in the development of a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all clients of the service, across all settings where care takes place.
  • To be able to cope with occasional, potential stressful, upsetting or emotional situations in an empathetic manner, such as referrals or case discussions which may have information about traumatic childhood experiences and abuse.
  • To understand and work within the CYP IAPT framework.
Research:
  • To undertake data collection, data inputting, analysis and the productionof reports and summaries, using IT and statistical programmes
  • To assist in the design and implementation of audit and research projects.
  • To undertake searches of evidence-based literature and research to assist qualified clinical psychologists in evidence based practice in individual work and work with other team members.
  • To support clinical staff and managers with regards to the collection and recording of routine data through training and regular attendance at team meetings.
  • To provide monthly reports of multi-disciplinary clinical activity as requested by the supervising clinical psychologist and team manager.
