Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping including financial transactions, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information.
- Maintain historical records by filing documents electronically.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Develop systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with relevant financial software.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information.
