School Administrative Assistant – Level 3

37 Hours TTO plus one week

The Headteacher and Senior Leadership team are looking for a flexible, highly motivated person to work as part of our busy office team. This busy and varied post will suit a highly motivated, confident and hardworking candidate with excellent communication skills.

If you are experienced in a wide range of administrative duties, can manage a small team, prioritise work for yourself and others effectively and work using your own initiative, you are encouraged to apply.

Experience in a school environment is preferable but not essential.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is highly organised and able to manage a range of administrative systems.
  • Has strong IT skills and is able to apply them in a range of ways, including Excel and Word.
  • Strives for accuracy.
  • Is flexible and can think on their feet when changes need to be made.
  • Is familiar with relevant polices/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation, i.e. data protection, confidentiality etc.
  • A willingness to participate in development and training opportunities
  • Effective and clear communication skills
  • Personal integrity and loyalty with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
The responsibilities will include but not be inclusive of:
  • Producing the monthly newsletter
  • Marketing the school and nursery
  • Updating the school website
  • Updating school policies
  • Monthly payroll processing
  • Ensuring the banking records for income on Arbor is recorded in a timely manner.
  • Daily attendance monitoring and communication with parents
  • All other attendance issues relating to absence of pupils
