Construction Manager
Location Manchester Airport (5 days on site)
Duration Initial 6-month contract
Rate 64 22 p hour Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a strong Mechanical and Electrical bias to join a high-profile aviation project based at Manchester Airport This is a fantastic opportunity to work on major capital projects supporting the successful delivery of key infrastructure developments Key Responsibilities Provide Construction Management support across all stages of the project lifecycle
Coordinate activities between subcontractors project delivery teams and stakeholders
Act as Manchester Airport Group s day-to-day site representative ensuring that contractor activities are delivered safely efficiently and to the highest standardsMonitor site progress through regular inspections and site visits ensuring works align with contract documentation and project timelines
Maintain exceptional standards in safety quality cost control programme delivery sustainability and compliance
Build and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Advocate for and enforce local health and safety rules and regulations
Key Requirements Degree qualified in a relevant field
Minimum 7 years experience in construction management preferably within aviation or similar complex environments
Strong Mechanical and Electrical experience particularly with systems such as substations runway cabling and airside requirements
Proficient in NEC Contracts experience as an NEC Supervisor or Clerk of Works is highly desirable
Must be local to Manchester or willing to commute 5 days a week to site
Security clearance for airport operations is required
