Key skills/experience required of the Embedded Software Engineer – C, based in Nottingham include:
BEng or BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.Proven work experience as an Engineer Firmware, Embedded Software or Electronics.
Proficient in Embedded C/C++.
Some experience in schematic design Preferably Altium Designer.
Experience with designing software and/or hardware to IEC61508 Functional Safety standards. Preferable.
Experience with the internet of things IOT and/or Industrial IOT.
Familiarity with serial protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, Ethernet IP etc.
Experience with hazardous area standards such as IECEx Intrinsic Safety IEC 61508/26262 is desirable, not essential.
